Canas Y Tapas

Relaxed and very tranquil,
I while away the hours.
Reminiscent of Madrid,
And her lovely charm,
The melodies spin me down,
Into the Spanish rhythm.
Salsa, Flamenco and Bacalao,
We shimmy to the beat.

A staff so very friendly,
I cannot want for ought,
Giving service with a smile,
Without a second thought.
No rush to eat,
The mellowness to enjoy,
Is featured as the 'norm',
My mood becomes so high.

Thank you one and all,
For knowing what is right,
To make a perfect evening,
Bathing in a pleasant light,
I make known to everyone,
Just what a joy to have,
Come eat, come live,
The Spanish way to dine.

TRAVELLING COMPANIONS

As the time arrives,
To leave this sorry land,
I have aquired pleasantly,
An opportunity to share.

The travel plans hold firm,
Yet will include,
The company of Emma,
My 'wayward' little sister.

Have I to take care,
For her youthful bloom ?
I venture to say no,
As I will be only,

Guardian to her adventure,
And possibly a role model,
For the way, not to,
Do what is preached as rote.

My dear sister, learn,
Not for I but for love.
Be at peace with all,
Let the spirirt flow.

And manage your feelings,
Based not on fear,
But on the joy of living,
We are one, You and I.
