A walk to L' Arenal.

The beaches stretch ahead,
And the rain it cleanses me.
A wonderful paseo to walk,
The sand so incredibly lovely.

I have this all to myself,
Never before have I known.
But well, we are in December,,
What was I expecting?

Some very familiar scenes,
Come from a time gone by.
Holding the hand of love,
Sharing a leisurely stroll.

It's not cold just fresh,
And my breathing feels clean.
The miles roll on by,
And peace is courting me.

Freezin my 'B' off.

It's my own stupid fault,
The price of accommodation,
Scared the bejesus outa me.

So why not sleep outside?
Well, for one it's raining,
And foe two, it's raining.

The cardboard matress is firm,
But no warmth I feel,
As my 'b' freezes me raw.

Luckily there's no wind,
Or it really would be sad,
And with myself I'd get mad!!!

Red Red Wine.

The glass was half full,
Now it's only hardly full.
I see the way it shines,
Inviting me to take her.

Claret dappled fruity hue,
A seducer of many poets.
And a reveller of wild folk,
When she has called again.

Desire is still heightened,
When she becomes involved.
Leading strong men into trouble,
And young women into song.

Coveted by nations daily,
She wields a mighty sword.
A blessing to us mortals then,
When she relieves our thirst.

Crimson Tides.

Lapping over my toes,
I see the crimson tides,
Awash with salty velvet tint,
What tragedy do they hide?

Someone screams, very loud,
A body floats to shore,
Did the pain become too much,
Could they take no more?

A fall is hardly likely,
The knife reveals a wound,
Will the killer get away,
Or will they yet be found?

A fated last ditched effort,
To heal the growing gap,
Has left one poor soul floating,
They couldn't see the trap.

Eyes wide open.

Am I alone, do others notice?
A veneer lifts to display light.
Have your eyes adjusted now,
And can you not see me?

I look around me, noticing,
Just where the passions lay.
And always witness an apathy,
That stops the people dead.

Does no-one come alive,
When another open spirit passes?
And we see a heart beating,
For the air that is life.

What is this drug they take,
To make them sleep in silence?
And am I really so awake,
When only few have noticed me?

OYSTERS

The time of discovery waits,
And here you hide a pearl.
Within, it cannot shine you know,
You've got to let it out....

The quietness has heard it said,
You wait on one to come,
To fill your days with sunshine,
Where you'll never feel the cold.

The wheels are set in motion,
A wind of change to see,
I wonder do you notice,
And could your dream be me?

The hope of freedom brightens,
Even the darkest days of man,
So let your beauty shine abroad,
If you want, you really can.

Hustle and Bustle

Can you find me here,
Amongst the crowd of noise?
I sit alone, now I hide,
Behind a group of revellers.

This seems to be their corner,
Where they can share a cheer,
Together they bring laughter,
And fill the air with joy.

When I was in my silence,
I missed the noise of folk,
And here I am rewarded,
With all I hoped to feel.

Clatter and cheer share fortune,
As these people pass a time,
Reliving all their daily woes,
And shattering the Devils hold.

Across the sea.

An Isle is calling me,
To share its loving secrets.
Will I be able to find,
The heart to know her magic?

My bones they know again,
The flesh has sensed desire,
And in a quiet moment,
I have believed a time awaits.

Power of the Balearic winds,
Reminds my beating heart,
To come along the sandy beach,
And let the feelings flow.

And here I find contentment,
The turgid sea of hope,
Believing in a distant drum,
That called me to her home.

Diablo Azul

You surely couldn't know,
But my heart saw and wanted.
Something I have not felt,
Very many times it's true.
But enchantment to know you,
Is high on my agenda now.

Two people not connected,
At all by the past are,
Free to live in a moment,
With an entirely new life.
Why do I care for you,
When we are as yet strangers?
Why does my attraction,
Run riot within my heart?

Pretty lady, shining bright,
Come home to where love,
Is waiting for you and me,
Prepare yourself for adventure,
The train is leaving soon.
Come collect your prizes,
Together we will know.
