It's like a sandal heaven,
Whilst I walk through the park,
A proof the seasons changing,
Is evident everywhere I look.
Peoples from all nations sit,
And talk about the heat,
Some walking in a fountain,
Some tumbling across the lawns.
But one thing that is obvious,
No-one fails to feel the peace,
As they welcome back to nature,
It's a wonderful release.
Dogs who run to catch a ball,
Whilst children hide and seek,
The cyclists and the skaters,
Are coming in their droves.
There are 'Techies' from the office,
Tradesmen and single mums,
And it seems a perfect setting,
To take a spot of lunch.
And here Bohemia rises up,
In sandals and sarongs,
The summer warmth inviting us,
To come along in our throngs.
