DREAMS OR PHANTOMS

At every turn, I see you,
Sometimes busy, often carefree.
And I notice your smile,
How wide become your eyes,
And your face beaming bright.

What of the composure,
And womanly-ness you display,
My hopes come alive now,
Your being on my mind,
Filling my very soul.

In a busy rail station,
I felt you passing close,
And yet, when I turned,
Felt only the beauty of you,
And your scent hovering still.

How strange to be blind,
But still seeing you alive.
Paths crossing in the ether,
A dimensional shift perhaps,
In the quantum mechanics.

Everlasting, your loveliness,
Tattooed on my heart and mind.
Carried wherever I go now,
As if I would leave it,
Or lay my pearl before swine.
