I'm not entirely sure,
That we see as one,
The world we share,
In quite the same way.
But that need not matter,
If we can humbly say,
Our worlds can colide,
Without real interference.
Nature shares with us,
And myriads of other creatures,
This tiny planet in space,
Without depriving us at all.
More food than,
We can possibly ever eat,
And more beauty to behold,
Than is reasonable to expect.
Such a joy in truth,
To find the diversity,
You and I are testament to,
Coming from different worlds.
A glorious range of beliefs,
And hopes we can display,
As we are smiled upon,
By the same sun above.
BUT !! and here is the point.
What do we gain really.
From spending time together,
Unless we have joy ?
A way of sharing happily,
The excitement of knowing,
Each one has a life,
Separate and yet shareable.
I am sure of one thing,
And it is this, I say,
A realtionship is supposed,
To be a two way street.
For what I have sensed,
Is that from this compromise,
Happiness will flow freely,
And I will feel blessed.
In your attentions I,
Wish to be enveloped,
And yet you cannot,
Respond with an observation,
That you allow me to,
Do all of the giving,
Whilst you alone bathe,
In the bounty of it.
