All the busying ants,
Scuttle into doorways.
The pavements,
Heaving but a few moments ago,
Now fast becoming sluices,
For the opening heavens.
Here and there,
The daring and the prepared,
Venture out to sodden feet,
And the market traders,
Struggle to cover their wares,
From the rain laden skies.
Everywhere, pools shimmering,
Thunder crashing, rain lashing.
And the world pauses,
But for a brief moment,
Until the torrents rise,
Once more in earnest.
Something odd happens,
To our worlds, I see,
When we are plunged,
Deep into the, cacophony !
Fear lives whilst hope dies,
For our ruptured reality.
And in this moment,
We forget, it's only rain !!
