Pensively, I am back into a mellow mood.
Billy Holiday has sung me sweetly,
Into reflections of days, long gone by.
Caressing elements of my jaded, weary soul.
Refreshing chords and lullaby melodies re-unite,
A heart and mind, healing old scars.
A trumpet announces, a chorus sublime,
As my tears dry, upon my smiling face,
Gladdened repeatedly, her soulful voice brightens.
Warm is the backdrop, as Humphrey looks on,
My silent handsome host regards a new aspect,
Of re-charging my mood, though the weather is dour.
A breakfast prepared to fulfil and excite,
Is brought before me, my senses explode,
And my hunger gone, dismissed with panache.
Restored once again, I can venture ahead,
Take on the day and its surprises,
With renewed vitality for the challenge.
And I sense now around me, a music.
Performed with such ease, from a wonderful staff,
A small taste of Paradise, is Edins'.
Thankyou to Edins Nottingham.
What a great sanctuary.
