Did you ever leave?
No longer do you see,
My tears that fall because,
I miss you in the sunrises.
I hear the sound of laughter,
And feel that you are near,
Despite a void beside me.
Every evening drawing to a close,
Sends me reeling from doubt,
Of why you are no longer here.
Did you ever leave,
Or was it I pushing away?
Clarity is like rain clouds.
Then I receive no answer,
And always remember that smile,
Wondering where you are now.
