Missing in action.....

Where did you go to my lovely,
Whilst I laid all alone in my bed ?
What were the thoughts that surround you ?
I even considered sadly, that you could be dead.

It's not what I guessed would become us,
Those hours so precious, left me wanting,
That you'd be the one, to spend life with,
Instead, the endless silence became haunting.

I hoped that you'd find, something happy,
To fill your days, all of your life,
Though in my wildest dreams, we'd become,
Inseparable, with you forever as my wife.

We'd have lived as though there was no limit,
To the joy of being forever, beloved,
And spend our days happily, fulfilling dreams,
Together, raising a family we had loved.

Adventures abroad, keeping our spirits bright,
As we'd work towards goals, of our making,
Devoting our tireless energies, to one another,
Blessing all, who's paths' cross ours, without taking.

Two lives full of challenge to become,
Teachers, carers and true friends we'd pursue,
Without missing the importance of honesty,
Making our lives extraordinary, forever like new.

So where have you been now, my lovely ?
These dreams still await us, it's true,
Come home where you are cherished,
