Alone here today, missing the sharing of life,
I want to run so very fast into forever,
To forget the painfulness of being without you.
I had hoped, that, if I waited here,
You would eventually come to restore my faith,
In the voyage of love, and her enduring care.
But time is leaving at such a rapid pace,
That I must move now, into a higher gear,
Or be beaten down with futility and woe.
I had wondered, if you remember our fire,
The passion by which, all our adventures were done,
And by such energy we forged ever on...
Regrets, I have none, about what we were,
Nor about where, we destined to enter into,
Whilst we shared the moment of the eternal Now!
And as I run, a song recalls your face,
Always smiling sweetly, an angel of grace,
Those lyrics suggest, glory still to see.
My heart quickens, as I fill with love,
Sent from memories, alive as ever new,
Thoughts of you again, filling my stride, alive.
So catch me now, if you really dare,
To live once again, as a child of freedom,
