WAITING !!!

A blowy day, wind gusting from the east,
Sunshine breaking through, and a spot or two of rain.
In this bluster I wait, hopefully for your return,
A while alone I spend, recalling your disappearance.

Was it something I said, that hurt you too much ?
Did I forget to say how much I love you ?
Aware I have become of a quietness alone,
Your lack of presence, in a crypt I am left.

Upon the twilight scene, I see your return,
Or is it an illusion of my own distress talking ?
That I presume still that you will forgive me,
The foolishness of loving, a dream permitted by you.

The skies alone see wherever you reside now,
A place of sunkissed day and tranquil evening light.
You, no doubt, are at ease, with friendships old and new,
But for my waiting hope, you favour not I.

How long perchance, I wait upon you here,
That I would see you, once again brightening my world.
Enigmatic presence with smiles, has kept me silent still,
That in between the sunrises, I catch you passing near.

Then in the breaking morning, alive with crowing cock,
An angel dust is risen, to cover me in hope.
That in you'd walk, to bless my empty life,
And stay with me forever, and become my happy wife.
