The day arrived,
And my heart, though thumping,
Became the source of something,
More incredible than I believed.
The outward flight,
Took me to places, where smiling faces,
Were evidence of all the races,
Sharing the love that I beheld.
The time arrived,
To leave behind, the doubts I knew,
In the presence of only you,
And the beautiful gifts you showed.
The final hurdle,
Was to resign myself, to be,
Beating fear and becoming free,
And living in love with you.
