Immortal Voices
Hush, do you hear ?
Voices calling for the howling winds.
Searching for a beam,
Of light from that vessel.
‘Twas lost on me,
Forever a sadness, a memory,
Of her life in rags and soot.
Could it be from this deep,
I know this pain ?
Losing a friend in silence,
And the coldness of fury.
Like ribbands of gold,
Her hair flies in the breeze,
Of corals and seaweed.
Though this echo is close,
And those voices call,
Forever in my heart.
