Verbal Truths
Isn’t it so very easy,
To pontificate, make sweeping law?
I venture it’s not so easy,
When the reality is divided.
Between those that want, having,
And those that have, wanting.
If I were the rule maker,
It would be mandatory law,
For everyone to have fresh water,
Food in their bellies and work.
And those that claim excess,
To explain why, they deserve it.
Not to only me, but everyone,
Who all have a right to life.
The politicians of our world,
Who claim to know how it works,
Only seem to succeed in filling pockets,
With the hard work of everyone else.
