Lets start a brand new story
Words were used cruelly,
And your heart was torn.
My method has been too odd,
And my way left you in doubt.
But I never ever meant harm,
Though that is what was seen.
The cold light of day tells,
How all error was seriously made,
And misunderstanding all so clear,
Letting you down in sadness,
Has been my waking nightmare.
But they were only words,
Not my truest deepest beliefs.
And I have nearly lost all hope,
That you can forgive me.
But I need you close to me,
Darling, let’s start a brand new story !
