Winter Sun
You are imagining,
No doubt, a cold winter scene.
But not here,
Not now, not ever,
In this place below,
Where southern skies only, yield,
The glorious blue of my heart.
Casting a shadow,
At this late midwinter hour.
I am silenced,
In a haze, in a dream,
Of how it all began.
Two people who came to know,
The light brought in fleeting moments.
